Clear water,
closer than you think.

About Andaman & Nicobar

The Andamans give you Indian Ocean water without leaving the country. Havelock has the wide sands and the dive sites, Neil is slower and smaller, and Port Blair anchors the history. Ferries between them are the only real logistics to plan around.

Things to do

Worth building
the days around.

Learn to dive

Havelock runs some of India's most accessible discovery dives. No certification is needed for a first descent.

Catch Radhanagar at dusk

Arrive an hour before sunset. The beach empties out and the light on the tree line is the reason people come.

Slow down on Neil

Cycle between the three beaches. The island is small enough to see properly in a day and a half.

Snorkel the gold-ink gardens

Elephant Beach and North Bay have shallow reef within swimming distance of the shore.

Before you go

Andaman & Nicobar
questions.

Private catamaran ferries run Port Blair to Havelock to Neil. Tickets sell out in season, so they are booked with your package rather than on arrival.

Yes. Sea walking, glass-bottom boats and guided discovery dives all work without swimming experience.

Indian nationals do not need a permit for the main islands. Foreign nationals receive one on arrival at Port Blair.
